What We Treat:

Headaches and Migraines

It’s rare to meet someone who hasn’t suffered from a headache. However, the cause and presentation of headaches are vast, ranging from the common tension type headache (TTH), to aura inducing migraines.

Though your chiropractor is trained to help with many types of headache, the most common we see are TTH's. These are often described as a tight band of pressure surrounding the head, and can last for anywhere between a few hours to several days. There is no one cause for such headaches, but some common triggers include*:

- Head / neck injuries, even years following an injury

- Clenching your jaw or grinding your teeth

- Awkward sleeping positions

- Holding your head in one position for a long period of time (i.e. when using a computer / laptop)

- Eye strain

- Overexertion

- Skipping meals

Several TTH triggers can be prevented with proper therapeutic intervention. If you are unsure if we can help you with your pain, feel free to contact us.
